You can become creative and successful - it's all a matter of choice If your life is not working for you - whether it is that your job is terrible or your boss is gross; whether you battle with money or feel unhappy at home - today's article will help you understand and fix these issues. I believe we all have one or two recurring problems, problems that pop up so regularly that they are, in essence, a life theme. One such theme in my own life is finances. Over the years as an ambitious single mother I have tussled with money matters not once, but many times. Every time I thought the problem gone and relaxed a little, poof! business would dry up or bills would materialise out of nowhere, forcing me once again to grabble worriedly with the challenge. This dynamic forced me to think deeply about how to get desired results in our lives, and what I've discovered is this: we get random, complicated and unsatisfactory results when our thinking on the subject is random, complicated and unsatisfactory. Therefore the fix is this: become 100% clear on what you want. This may seem simplistic, but in reality being 100% clear requires us to delve into the murky depths of our subconscious belief systems and unconscious expectations. In my own life I was 100% clear that I wanted to earn enough to pay my bills, but my random, complicated and unsatisfactory financial results clearly pointed to the fact that I wasn't clear at all! I needed some subconscious insights. In 1998 I had some financial challenges, when, in spite of hard work, booking for my courses simply dried up. One very low moment, as I worried over the problem, I implored 'God speak to me'. A couple of hours later I received an unusual call from someone who I had met briefly, only once. She said I kept popping into her mind and she felt compelled to tell me that I was successful, and that if I was not getting new business, it was not because my courses were not good, rather it was because at some deep level I did not want to have the business. 'That's crazy!' I thought, but as I mulled over her words I realised she was right - at some complicated level I didn't want to stand revealed before an audience. I doubted myself, and what I had to say. Life had merely been responding accordingly, bringing doubtful results. Self-knowledge is power, and as I acknowledged this truth, power flooded my being. I became clear. Clear on where I was really at. Clear on what I wanted. I pulled out course evaluation sheets and spent hours pouring over the good comments of past delegates. As I read their reports of life changes for the better, I turned my bad feelings into healed feelings. I counted the incidents of repeat business and actively filled my mind with the idea that people asked me back because I was good at my job. I cleared my secret doubts. From that moment, my business came alive again, and bookings started to come in, with no time delay. The minute we get clear, life responds immediately. So this week, identify those random, complicated and self-sabotaging ideas rolling unnoticed in the back roads of your mind. Bring them to the front, challenge them, and get clear! State what you want and line up your deep expectations. Get clear and your life will get going.
